One of our clients in Saudi Arabia, a leading Aramco Contractor require Planning Engineer

 

Job Description:

A planning engineer in the oil and gas sector is responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining project schedules to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget. They work closely with project managers, engineers, and other team members to create detailed project plans that outline the sequence of tasks, dependencies, and resources required for successful project execution. The planning engineer utilizes specialized software and tools to create schedules, monitor progress, identify potential delays, and provide recommendations to mitigate risks.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field, minimum 15-year experience.
  • Knowledge of project management principles and methodologies.
  • Experience in Tie-in execution.
  • Experience in Static Equipment T&I
  • Proficiency in project scheduling software such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience working in the oil and gas industry is preferred.
  • Professional certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional) or PMI-SP (Scheduling Professional) are advantageous.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with project teams to develop project schedules based on scope, resources, and timeline requirements.
  • Monitor and track project progress against the established schedule, identifying deviations and potential risks.
  • Analyze schedule data to provide insights and recommendations to improve project performance.
  • Communicate schedule updates, milestones, and discrepancies to project stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with various departments and contractors to align activities and resolve scheduling conflicts.
  • Prepare progress reports, presentations, and other documentation to keep stakeholders informed.
  • Participate in project meetings and provide schedule-related support and guidance to team members.
