Our client in Saudi Arabia,  established in 1954 and is the leading Industrial Gas Manufacturer and Supplier of Industrial, Medical, Specialty and Refrigerant Gases besides Welding Equipment and consumables.

Their Head Office is located at Jeddah with branches covering throughout the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

They would like to recruit  General Manager- HSE

Role Overview: As the General Manager HSE, your primary mission is to drive excellence in Health, Safety & Environment at the site and management levels. Your role involves monitoring and validating the effective implementation of the HSE & Process Safety policies and systems across all our operations, by leading its development, updating, overseeing and monitoring implementation, auditing and reporting.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Ø  To lead the development and implementation of Safety, Health, and Environmental policies within the company to promote a safety culture, reduce occupational risks, and ensure regulatory compliance.

Ø  Ensure AHG HSE standards and their application are in aligned with the International standards and Industry best practices.

Ø  Demonstrate technical leadership in overseeing the smooth operation of Firefighting system and equipment.

Ø  Regular Safety Audits and Inspections to ensure compliance and continuous improvements.

Ø  Takes part in Accident / Incident investigation, lead Root Cause Analysis and Corrective/Preventive activities initiating to address any safety issues to prevent the risk & reoccurrence.

Ø  Liaise with regulatory bodies, Local Authorities, Insurance Inspectors, and other stakeholders regarding HSE matters.

Ø  Monitor and forecast HSE trends and changes in legislation, and implement proactive strategies to ensure continuous improvement.

Ø  Provide Leadership and mentorship to the Safety Team, fostering a culture of team work, accountability, innovation and continuous learning.

Ø  Establish Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) to measure and monitor HSE performance and report periodically on Safety metrics to the Senior Management.

 

Qualifications & Experience:

v  Minimum Bachelor Degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering with a track record of work experience of 15-20 years in HSE Management role in a reputable Industrial Gas Company / Refinery / Petrochemicals.

v  Certification from a recognized HSSE institution (CSP, NEBOSH, OSHA, IOSH, IEMA, etc.)

v  NFPA or equivalent recognized training and certifications.
